Prints, Books, & Paintings: Stuff I’m Selling

Aside from paintings and books, I’ll be selling small* prints at the Smiling Buddha on Sunday. Since I’ve never really sold prints before, it’s been a bit of a learning experience, but I’m happy with how the tests turned out. Not surprisingly, not all the paintings translate very well to print, but I have settled on a few options. (Apologies for the poor focus in some of the shots – I was in a hurry!).

*Nov. 12 Edit: I’ve since added a few more selections of prints, not seen here. come out on sunday and check em out!

BOOKS
I haven’t forgotten about ze old No Friendship book. (And I’m sure you haven’t either if you know me at all, since I’ve yet to shut up about it). Each book is hand-bound with leather and will come with a handmade bookmark; pages filled with stream of consciousness ramble in American Typewriter spanning the past year, and old, old photographs that won’t mean much to you. I don’t know that it needs to be mentioned, but holy hell it takes a lot to bind your own books. Especially when you have a hole punch that prefers only two pieces of paper at a time, and a cat and dog that both enjoy eating paper scraps and attacking dangly strings. With that said, I didn’t take it as far as I possibly would have liked with these things. While each book will indeed be unique, I wanted to add so many more things than I ultimately ended up adding, but I am still quite happy with the more simplistic result. This is probably a blessing in disguise, as I tend to be unfamiliar with finish lines.

PAINTINGS

Somehow painting hasn’t taken a back seat to all this other junk I’m doing, and I managed to finish two pieces last week that I can’t wait to share with all youuuu. My ‘style’ has sorta been evolving lately and after a long bout of hating everything that I came up with, I’m starting to warm up to what I’ve been doing lately. I tend to photograph my pieces immediately upon completion, but I’ve practiced self-control in that I’ve refrained from sharing any (except this one) so that I may be able to show some pieces that haven’t been seen elsewhere. This is mostly for me, because I get sick of my stuff REALLY quickly. Here’s a taste:

I’ll technically be selling paintings at the show, so if you’re actually interested in maybe talking about a purchase, don’t be shy! (I am, but friendly). We can talk about it. Or you can steal one of my cards and email me about it later.

Speaking of cards:
I have seriously become obsessed with crafting.

Don’t forget to check out the Dead Souls show @ Smiling Buddha on Sunday if you’re in the area, and come say hi! I am excited!

*I’ll be taking orders at the show in the off-chance I run out of stock, but I’m banking on having left over, so if anyone would like to buy a print (Or a book for that matter), let me know! With that said, I’ll be selling prints from now on, made to order. So if you’d like a print, or have a request for one not featured here, please don’t hesitate to let me know! I will be posting more about this later.
